Azara microphylla 'variegata'

Love or loathe variegated plants this Azara is a beautiful form of the normally deep green small leaved Azara. Tiny round, evergreen leaves are mostly cream with a light splash of dark green.

It has a delicately elegant layered semi weeping shape,

Fairly quick growing tree to 3-4m tall. Part shade in a sheltered site.

In March it is covered in tiny yellow flowers with a light vanillalike scent,

pretty much fully hardy in Ireland, but will appreciate a warm wall at the back of a border in Colder areas,
